Final Score Eagles 69 : 40 Rushmoor

On Saturday the 9th, Eagles U16 played Rushmoor U16 second round of South Region.

Both teams started strong and at the end of the first quarter Eagles were 20-10 up with some good attacking and defensive work.

During the second quarter Rushmoor kept pushing and had some great attack and shooting. The score ended up being 34-20. Our intensity could’ve been higher but we will take this to training and come back stronger.

The last two quarters continued to be well contested especially the fourth quarter. The third quarter was similar to the second and Eagles ended 17 up.

The last quarter was strong as our fitness was kept up and some very good passes were made into the GS by the attack and the defence kept turning the ball confidently.

Overall the score was 69-40 to Eagles. We had hoped for a better goal difference but we did not give up and Rushmoor played very well, keeping us pushing throughout. A big thank you to the coaches and parents and well done to Rushmoor.

And a very well done to Chloe Duncan achieving player of the match as centre, showing some great perseverance and strength.
