Final: Eagles 5 v Turnford 7 (Runners up)
Our U13 Eagles team had a great tournament today at MK Netters.
They started strong against Hatfield Purple winning convincingly (6-2). The second game against Poole was tougher as they struggled to find their rhythm and they drew (3-3). From then on we picked up our game and played some lovely netball with great fluid passing, tight defending and consistent shooting, winning our remaining 4 group games :vs Turnford Yellow (7-1), MK Netters Blue (10-2), Essex Open Sky (11-0) and Magic NC (8-2).
We topped our group and played Wodson Park in our quarter-final, winning convincingly (9-2).
For the semi-final we met Hatfield Purple again who gave us a much tougher match. We were down by two at half time but our girls dug deep and kept going to the final whistle winning in the end (6-4).
The final was vs Turnford Black. Again the girls played hard. It was a very tight game with end to end netball. They fought to the last second but unfortunately we just lost out losing (7-5).
