Final Score: Eagles 32 v Rushmoor 49 (L)

Our fourth game in the U14 South Region was against Rushmoor. We knew it was going to be tough, particularly as we were missing one of our key defenders. The final score was 49-32 to Rushmoor with all us girls trying very hard.

It was a sluggish start in the first quarter with Rushmoor taking a 14-8 lead. We scored a few goals but strong marking by the Rushmoor defence reduced our scoring opportunities. We won the second quarter to bring the score back to 22-17, but Rushmoor pulled away in the third quarter as we struggled to get our passes into the final third of the court. It was 36-25 to Rushmoor at the end of the third quarter. The Rushmoor GA continued to score well in the fourth quarter and we eventually lost 49-32.

Rushmoor voted Abi as our Player of the Match, and it was well deserved. Well done to all the girls for the exceptional play.
