Final Score: Eagles 43 v 28 CN Select (W)
Our South Region U19 development match versus CN Select started off as a tough battle with many interceptions being made by both teams. The first quarter started off well for Eagles scoring from the first 3 centre passes. From there, the team kept up the work rate and finished the first quarter winning 10-8.
The second quarter was filled with both teams competing for turnovers and interceptions with our Eagles Goal Keeper, Izzy (who had just returned from injury) successfully taking multiple fly interceptions.
The first half of the match was tight meaning we had to work hard to sustain the lead, however, in the second half, we managed to pull away due to our determination. We finished the game with a score of 28-43.
