Final score Eagles 22:12 Magnet

It was a fast paced first quarter with some good defence from Rhiannon and Lucy, and great marking from Isobel in goal. Magnet defended well in the second half of the quarter and at the end the score was 6-2 to Eagles.

Some great work by Magnet at the start of the second quarter took the score to 4-6 but some good attacking by Sienna, Isla and Annabel coupled with some calm shooting from Imogen took the score to 8-4 to Eagles. Magnet’s midcourt had some good play towards the end of the second quarter, but Eagles fought back taking the score to 13-8.

Some great play down the line by Magnet took the score to 13-10 at the start of the next quarter, but some good mid court play by Melody in defence and Eva in attack combined with the dynamic in circle defence by Isobel and Rhiannon held Magnet and resulted in a score of 18-10 to Eagles. 

Some good defence in goal at the beginning of the fourth quarter by Tamara and despite the great attack by Magnet the score remained at 10-18 for several minutes. The final score to an exciting match was 22-12 to Eagles.

Player of the match for Eagles was Isobel who played goal keeper and goal defence.
