Final Score: Eagles 13 v MK Dons 44 (L)

Our fifth game in the U14 South Region was against M.K. Dons

In the first quarter, we came out strong and positive, although knowing it was going to be a tough and very physical match and were very close with the score.

The first quarter ended with a score of 8-5 to MK Dons.

As the second quarter began they pulled away, our passing wasn’t particularly good when trying to get the ball to the shooters.

Also in the second quarter, we had an unexpected change with our shooters when one of our defence went to shooter for the first time.

The second quarter ended with the score of 19-8 to them.

In the third quarter we had quite a few opportunities to shoot but MK Dons defence was very strong and MK Dons defence got every rebound as well, we couldn’t afford to lose one shot. This was our weakest quarter as we only scored one goal. The score at the end of the third quarter was 35-9 to them. It was in this quarter where we dropped behind, we had to up our game and try to win the last quarter.

Finally, for the fourth quarter our defence became stronger and we also got a few more goals in but unfortunately not enough to win. The final score was 44-13 to MK Dons.

At the end, in our match tea, we gave Player of the Match to the Centre and Tori, who played GK during the whole game, got Player of the Match from them.
